PC repair and security checks in Huddersfield
I grew up in Huddersfield and my family still live there, so I know the area well, right out to Holmfirth. I am based in Ossett and I cover all of Kirklees, including home visits and collection and return here. Remote help is available too.
What I offer in Huddersfield
A visit, a collection, a remote session, or a free look at something that might be a scam. I say which of those makes sense after I have heard the problem.
- Home visits
- Collection and return
- Remote help
- A free "Is this a scam?" check
- ID you can verify
- Quote before any work
Signs a call or a pop-up is a scam
A repair with me starts because you got in touch. Treat these as warning signs:
- A phone call you were not expecting, saying the computer is infected.
- A pop-up with a phone number, or a voice telling you to ring it.
- Someone who wants remote-access software installed before you have agreed any work.
- Pressure to buy gift cards, or to stay on the line while you open online banking.
If a message is already on the screen and you are unsure, use the free "Is this a scam?" check. I will tell you plainly, and that look is free.
